Inova Children’s Hospital in Falls Church, VA had a very special visitor for some very special patients this week. The Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan took some time out from his busy schedule to spend some time with the kids and deliver a few special gifts.
Redskins Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan Brings Holiday Cheer to Hospitalized Children
NORTHERN VIRGINIA —Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan brought holiday cheer to the seriously ill children he visited at Inova Children’s Hospital in Falls Church, Va. on Monday afternoon, Dec. 12. During the Ryan’s Reindeer Rush visit, Kerrigan brought gifts and spent time with the delighted young patients.
Christmas is a time to enjoy moments with family and friends and rejoice in life. However, for many that are suffering it can be extremely difficult, whether it be with sickness, poverty, loneliness or general difficulties, so it’s great to see those that are fortunate contributing a little to those that are not.
We wanted to take a moment to also think about all those suffering with mosquito borne diseases such as malaria, in parts of the world that don’t have the health care privileges that we do.
Redskins Ryan Kerrigan Spreads Cheer to Kids

Redskins outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan surprised patients at Children’s Nation on Dec. 9, signing autographs, taking pictures, and giving footballs and Redskins collectibles to kids and families being treated at Children’s National.
What can you do this Christmas to help make someone else’s a little brighter? We don’t want to make you feel sad, we just want to spread a little awareness about those that are suffering, not just at this time of year, but all year through.
